PGB VETERANS DAY RUN NASHVILLE, TN EDITION HONORING VIETNAM VETERAN AL STEIN

On March 30, 2022, a friend, and military brother Al Stein returned home to that far away place many know as heaven. Al honorably served our Nation as a member of the US ARMY in Vietnam. He was a tough cowboy with a gruff exterior hiding a heart of gold. If he loved you, he would protect you with his life. He was many others, go-to sage for life advice. Al was the co-founder of the "Fallen Heroes Family Camp" (FHFC). (www.fallenheroesfamilycamp.org)

Al had a heart of gold and there was not a child in the area that did not think of him as anything other than a guardian angel. When he and his partners of JML Farms ( our original venue) were talking about what other purpose they wanted the farm to be known for. Al had mentioned that he wanted to do something for his brothers and sisters in the Military.

FHFC got its mission from this tough but kind Cowboy who was the driving force for what is known today as the day camps of riding and working on the farm. Such kind initiative was developed for Military Gold Star Families and has evolved into a certified 501 ( C)3 since 2012. Al returned home on or about 0400 at his home at the age of 78. He will forever be missed but his legacy of service, compassion, and love for our "Fallen Heroes Families" will live forever thru each of us and the PGB Family.
